Complex Pixelmon Economy Guide

In this guide we will be explaining how the server economy works, what you can use currency on and how to get it! There are several types of currencies, some in-game and some outside of the game. The main currencies being coins, tokens, gems and GC (Gift Card, Complex Store only).. Each of these currencies have different uses although they all serve the same purpose.

Coins - The easiest currency to obtain as well as the most useful currency. Coins can be used to buy items off the /GTS, /Shop, other players, Chest Shops, Player Shops etc. Coins are mainly obtainable from Hunts, Contracts, and Bingo. You can view your coins in /bal!

Tokens - Not as popular as coins and gems, but still a valuable currency. Tokens are mainly used in /pb (PokeBuilder) to modify stats on your Pokemon, excelt for Mythicals, UltraBeasts and Ditto. You can also use tokens to reroll you /contracts and /hunts. (For more information on Hunts and Contracts feel free to refer to the Contracts/Hunt Guide). You can view your tokens in /bal!

Complex Gift Cards - Gift Cards canbe used on our store to purchase in game items and ranks. You can also trade giftcards with others, but it is recommended to turn them into gems first so you can /safetrade with others. If you're still doing a trade for a giftcard, then you should either create a ticket to have the obbtained code swapped, or simply buy gems for them right away. You can always turn the gems back into a giftcard again when you'd like. Gift Cards can also be used on any of our Complex servers, not just our Pixelmon server. Keep in mind that doing any deals for money outside of the Complex Store is considered an illegal IRL and will get you permbanned.

Gems - Gems are essentially the in-game currency of Gift Cards. Gems can be bought on our server store, but instead of receiving a code, the currency will be added straight to your /bal. Gems can be used in places such as GTS and the Auction House. Gems can also be more safely traded in game without the risk that Gift Cards have over discord. Unlike other in game currencies such as Coins and Tokens, Gems can only be traded through Safe Trade to minimize scamming (view our Safe Trading Guide for more info) Gems are equal to Gift Cards with a 1:1 ratio. As you can buy Gems with Gift Cards through our server store, you can also turn your Gems back into Gift Cards in by using /gemstogc. Once you select and confirm the amount you will be sent the code for the newly made Gift Card in /mail. Additionally if you are linked via discord you will be DMed the code through the Complexity Bot.

GTS - /GTS (Global Trade Station) is Pixelmons Auction house where you can list anything from Pokemon, items, seasonal gear, eggs, etc on where players can choose to buy them. When listing pokemon and Items on GTS you get to choose the price and duration they are on GTS for before they are returned to you. This will only happen if the item is not sold on the GTS where it would then be returned to you in your /overflow if it is an item or /overflow pokemon if it is a pokemon. An item or pokemon can only be listed on GTS for a maximum of 24 Hours. You can monitor GTS transactions by giving yourself the server role on Discord, then heading to said server's GTS channel.

Auction House/AH - Auctions (/auctions, /ah) is used to items or pokemon at a starting price that you see fit, and give other players on the server to bid on it. Similar to an auction, whoever bids the most on your auction will receive it! The Auction House accepts coins, tokens, and gems when taking bids, but only one currency is used during one bid (e.g. if you start an auction for gems, other players will only be able to bid using gems as well). Additionally if you post an Auction, there is no way to cancel or remove it after the fact, and whatever is bid on the auction is what you will receive. Auctions are a fair way to see what other players are willing to pay on your pokemon without getting low balled or underpriced offers for it. As mentioned in our Seasonal Gear Guide, you can use the Auction House to obtain Seasonal Gear from previous sets that you would not be able to obtain anywhere else due to them being discontinued as they were limited time.

Breeding - Breeding is a very good way to make money on our servers by Breeding Battle Perfect and Hidden Ability Pokemon. However this does take a lot of time, work, and effort to succeed at as breeding can be a very hard process to understand. We recommend checking out the GTS history feature on our Discord if you want to get an idea of what you can sell your Pokemon for. You can view our Breeding Guide for more information.

Chest Shops + Player Warps - The Chest Shop feature is a way to sell items to others without needing to actively be there. Using a sign, you turn your chests into shops where you can customize the buy and sell point for items you are looking to either buy or sell on the server. These can be set up in a claim with a /pwarp attached to the shop so that players can buy and sell at your chest shop at all hours of the day, even if you are not online! Pwarps can be created with the /pwarp create name command. This will allow for players to be transported to where the pwarp is created. You can create the chest shops by placing down a chest and then linking it to a chest shop in the /chestshop command.

Trading with others - You can always see if your server's community is willing to trade, buy or sell anything you might be looking for. Simply do so by asking in the chat to check for interest. You can also use our Discord Server's Market chat to either request or offer something.

Server Shop - Our /shop command gives you access to a GUI that is full of items from both the Vanilla section and the Pixelmon Mod. This command can give you access to certain blocks and items that are not obtainable in other ways. This command has dozens of items for you to buy and sell, and they never run out of stock.

Dungeons - Dungeons are an excellent way to gain significant items in our economy. They give all sorts of rewards such as Eggs, Reset Vault Vouchers, Legendary Spins, EXP, Lunar Keys, Ultra Keys, Certain Legendary Pokemon, and Seasonal Keys + Eggs.

Battle Tower - Battle Tower is one of our battle challenges that can be done daily at /warp battletower. In the battle tower you will be battling NPC trainers. Upon defeating each trainer you will receive Battle Points, as well as moving up to a higher floor of the battle Tower. The more floors you go up the more Battle Points you will receive. You only get one life, so if you lose a battle then the cooldown will start and you will be back to floor 1 on your next attempt. With the battle Points you receive from the battle tower you can buy Special Tags and Items from the Battle Tower Store which is in the back of the Battle Tower. Additionally, you can use /battletowershop to open the Battle Tower shop wherever you may be instead of TPing to /warp battletower!

Races - Races are fun and difficult challenges where you need to beat a specific time in order to win. If you are good enough to beat the set time, you will be rewarded with both currency and items. Check the /race command to preview the rewards and the times you need to beat!

Gyms - Our servers have various challenging gyms that you can challenge for rewards. We have both NPC gyms and Player gyms. Upon defeating the NPC you will receive its rewards as well as unlocking access to the next gym in line. You will be starting at the grass gym. Please view /gyms for more information on this. Player gyms are where you battle other players on the server who have been selected as gym leaders to pose as a challenge for you and others on the server. When defeating player gyms you will receive Rewards and Tags from battling. Please view /gyms for more information on this as well.

Bingo - You can generate a Bingo Card by running the /bingo command. Once you do so, you'll generate a board of Pokemon to capture. The more rows you are able to complete within the 6 hours, the more rewards you get! Keep in mind you have to capture the Pokemon yourself, so trading, evolving or buying Pokemon won't count towards your Bingo Card progress.

Contracts & Hunts - Contracts and hunts gives you certain missions you need to complete. Once you complete these, simply hand in your hunt or complete your contract to get rewards! See our Contract/Hunt Guide for more information.
