What is Bid Baiting?
Bid Baiting is a common scam carried out by people with alts or friends. Baiting involves quickly setting an OUTRAGEOUS custom bid price (sometimes millions and millions) while people are actively counter-bidding each other. The Victim counter-bidding will click to counter at lets say 700k, but the bid setter's alt account/friend will quickly bid at 7 million while your battling someone, causing you to pay 7 Million!
What steps can i take to help prevent this?
~Waiting a few seconds between countering bids, this will make it harder for the baiter to bait your next bid.
(This means don't get angry and start bidding quickly just because it's at a low price.)
~If you see two people constantly spamming to outbid each other, take a step back until there's no more spamming in the UI to start countering again.
